We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

Minnetonka vs. Eden Prairie, 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17. These top-10 Class 2A teams with aspirations of challenging three-time defending state champion Edina are led by standout scorers — Lacey Martin’s 18 points lead No. 3-2A Minnetonka (7-2-0, 1-1-0) and Sydney Langseth’s 27 is tops for No. 5-2A Eden Prairie (7-2-1, 1-1-0).

Willmar vs. River Lakes, 5:15 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 19. River Lakes’ defense will be put to the test as Willmar’s Bailey Olson has 29 points, slotting her near the top of the state’s scoring leaders and just ahead of teammates Mya Monson (26) and Madison Garberding (24).

Mound Westonka vs. Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato, 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17. Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato (7-3-0, 1-2-0) fell to Hutchinson 3-0 last week, but all is not lost. A victory over the White Hawks (8-2-1, 3-1-0) and leading scorer Grace Peterson (3-9-12) would put the Dragons right back in the Wright County Conference race.
