Iyla Ryskamp, Orono. Ryskamp accounted for 11 points during the Spartans’ two wins last week, an 8-1 victory at Waconia on Dec. 10 and a 14-0 defeat of Rochester John Marshall on Dec. 14. Against Waconia, the sophomore forward scored two power-play goals in the second period, and added two more goals and a pair of assists for six points. Against Rochester John Marshall, she nearly matched that points total, scoring once shorthanded, once at even strength and adding three assists.

Lindsey Batz, Robbinsdale Armstrong/Cooper. The junior goaltender posted a .500 record last week but had a .986 save percentage, allowing only one goal on 74 total shots. The Wings lost to Blaine 1-0 on Dec. 10 before Batz registered her third shutout of the season in a 1-0 victory over Totino-Grace on Dec. 14.

Jessica Boland, Northfield. The junior forward more than doubled her previous season-high offensive output in the Raiders’ 11-0 rout of Rochester Mayo on Dec. 12, scoring four goals and adding three assists. Boland had three consecutive goals in the first period, including one on a power play, then tallied a power-play assist, an even-strength assist, and a shorthanded goal in the second period. She contributed her final point, an assist, in the third period.

Grace Glasrud, Delano/Rockford. Glasrud, a senior goaltender, earned her second shutout of the season in a 0-0 overtime tie versus Orono on Dec. 13. Glasrud made 50 saves — the fifth time this season she’s faced 50 or more shots in a game — and backed a perfect 4-for-4 penalty kill for the Tigers.

Kate Holtz, Austin. In a 13-5 victory against Waseca on Dec. 10, the sophomore forward tallied nine points — a feat accomplished by just three other girls in the state’s history, according to the Minnesota State High School League. Holtz contributed four goals, including one shorthanded, and five assists to lead the Packers. Of her five assists, one was on the power play and two were shorthanded.

Caitlin Hvinden, Mankato West. The sophomore forward had three goals in addition to assisting on a power-play goal — all in the second period — helping the Scarlets to a 5-4 defeat of Rochester John Marshall on Dec. 10.

Leigha Kitzmann, Red Wing. The freshman goalie backstopped the Wingers’ 2-2 overtime tie with Rochester Mayo on Dec. 14 with 45 saves. After facing 36 shots during regulation, Kitzman turned away all 11 shots she faced during overtime.

Jenna Ruiz, Eagan. The senior forward had a hat trick in the Wildcats’ 5-4 overtime victory over Prior Lake on Dec. 14. Ruiz got the Wildcats on the board, cutting their deficit in half, when she notched a power-play goal midway through the second period. Then, with 23 seconds left in the second period, she tied the game with her second goal. In overtime, Ruiz completed her hat trick, scoring the game-winning goal.

Taylor Smith, New Prague. The Trojans battled to a 1-1 tie against Delano/Rockford on Dec. 10 as the sophomore goaltender turned in a stellar performance, making 62 saves — more than double the amount of shots her team produced against Delano/Rockford — in just her third game this season. She recorded a .984 save percentage.

Kaitlyn Timm, Marshall. The junior forward propelled the Tigers to two eight-goal games last week, earning wins against Windom (8-1 on Dec. 10) and at Waseca (8-4 on Dec. 14). Timm scored a season-high four goals in the defeat of Windom, following that performance with a five-point effort at Waseca, where she scored twice and added three assists.
