Grace Glasrud, Delano/Rockford. The senior goaltender made 53 saves on Jan. 3, shutting out Mound Westonka 1-0. She’s recorded a cumulative .933 save percentage through 16 games.

Sydney Johnson, Apple Valley. The senior defender led the Eagles’ offense with one assist, plus her first hat trick of the season as the Eagles defeated Hastings 8-3 on Dec. 30. Johnson scored a goal each period, her last coming on a power play mid-way through the third period. It was Johnson’s second multi-point game of the season, her first since Nov. 16.

Nettie Kimble, Bemidji. The junior goaltender gave up just one second period goal in the Lumberjacks’ 2-0 loss to Alexandria on Jan. 4, making 38 saves for a .974 save percentage. Alexandria’s second goal was scored on an empty net. It was just the second goal Kimble had given up in the past three games.

Jenna Lawry, Chisago Lakes. Lawry, a junior forward, tallied eight points in three of the Wildcats’ games last week. The Wildcats won 6-0 at Delano/Rockford, tied Mahtomedi 2-2, and defeated Orono 4-3. At Delano/Rockford on Dec. 30, Lawry tied a season high with five points (one goal, four assists). She led a 4-for-5 power play, notching her lone goal and three of her assists with the advantage. During the Wildcats’ tie against Mahtomedi on Jan. 1, Lawry scored both goals — the first one short-handed. To finish the week, Lawry scored just one goal in the win against Orono on Jan. 4, which was the eventual game-winner.

Chloe Nelson, Cambridge-Isanti/Mora/Pine City. Nelson recorded eight points in the Bluejackets’ two wins last week, a 5-2 victory against Delano/Rockford and a 6-2 defeat of Moose Lake Area. The senior forward scored the game’s first goal against Delano/Rockford on Jan 1, before assisting on two goals later in the game. Against Moose Lake Area on Jan. 3, Nelson assisted on the game’s first goal before scoring a season-high four goals, all in the third period.

Cheyenne Schutz, Luverne. Schutz played in two of the Cardinals’ games last week, earning a win at Moose Lake Area (3-1) before tying University School of Milwaukee (2-2). The sophomore goaltender, who has a 1.59 goals against average this season, made 66 saves (.956 save percentage) between the two games.

Nina Steigauf, Hill-Murray. Steigauf led the Pioneers’ offense in an 8-2 win at St. Paul United on Dec. 31. The senior forward scored one goal in each of the first two periods before adding two more goals and an assist in the third. Steigauf leads the Pioneers with 18 goals and 30 points through 17 games this season.

Kate Stephens, Northern Lakes. The freshman goaltender helped the Lightning break a six-game losing streak, backing a 6-0 shutout of Albert Lea on Dec. 30. Stephens made 43 saves — a season high.

Ava Wasserman, Minnehaha United. The sophomore forward scored four goals, completing a hat trick during the first period, during the Redhawks’ 7-1 victory against Waseca on Jan. 3. Wasserman scored two minutes into the game — and just 22 seconds after her teammate — to give the Redhawks a 2-0 lead. She scored a power-play goal and short-handed goal later in the period — just 1 minute, 2 seconds apart — to put the Redhawks up 4-0 after two periods. Wasserman scored her final goal late in the third period.
