And the winner is...MN Girls' Hockey Hub Top Performer revealed

Top performer winner

Hailey Hansen, Blaine. Hansen, a freshman goaltender, fought a hard battle as the Bengals lost to Andover 2-1 on Jan. 21. She made 47 saves, a .959 save percentage, in the win as her opposing goaltender faced just eight shots. Then at Hill-Murray on Jan. 25, Hansen earned her 13th win of the season, stopping 33 shots for a .971 save percentage. 

Top performer candidates

Lily Delianedis, Blake. The senior forward contributed a team-leading 14 points through the Bears’ first three games last week, scoring 12 of the team’s 19 goals during wins at Minnehaha United (7-1 on Jan. 21) and against Forest Lake (5-4 on Jan. 23) and Duluth (7-2 on Jan. 24). Delianedis scored five goals at Minnehaha United, including one short-handed and one on a power play. She then tallied two goals — the first and last of the game — and an assist against Forest Lake. She finished her impressive scoring streak with another five-goal performance against Duluth, scoring three times in a 35-second span in the second period, extending her point streak to 11 games.

Claire Enright, Farmington. The Tigers’ sophomore forward recorded three points in their 3-2 win against Lakeville North on Jan. 21, taking the Tigers from a one-goal deficit to a two-goal advantage within less than five minutes during the early minutes of the third period. She scored once and followed with two assists, including one on a power play.  She then was the lone Tiger to record multiple points in the team's win over Hill-Murray on Jan. 23, as she tallied two assists in the 4-1 win.

Sophia Hoppe, St. Paul United. The senior recorded her second hat trick in four games on Jan. 23, as St. Paul United edged Mounds View 4-3. Hoppe got the scoring started, getting United on the board early in the second period. She scored her second goal mid-way through the third period, temporarily giving United a one-goal lead. After Mounds View tied the game, Hoppe completed the hat trick and sealed the win by scoring with 37 seconds left in the third period.

Madison Kisor, Minnesota River. It was a battle of the goaltenders when Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato visited the Bulldogs on Jan. 25, as each team’s offense generated 40 shots on goal. After the Dragons produced a power play goal against Kisor, the senior goaltender was perfect the rest of the game. The Bulldogs won 2-1 in front of Kisor’s .975 save percentage.

Sydney Leonard, Mound Westonka. Leonard, a freshman forward, recorded six total points in back-to-back wins for the White Hawks, leading wins against Hutchinson (4-3 OT on Jan. 21) and Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato (7-0 on Jan. 23). Against Hutchinson, Leonard scored in the second period for the White Hawks halfway through the team’s only power play. Then she scored the overtime game winner unassisted. At Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato, she recorded her first hat trick of the season and added an assist.

Mariah Marek, New Prague. The sophomore recorded a .978 save percentage on Jan. 24, making 45 saves as the Trojans narrowly lost to Hutchinson.  It was her highest save percentage in a full game this season as the Trojans lost 2-1 in overtime.

Olivia Mobley, Breck. The senior forward led the Mustangs’ 8-3 defeat of Chisago Lakes on Jan. 25, recording a season-high eight points. Mobley tallied three goals and three assists in the first period alone, adding two more goals in the third period. One goal was short-handed and one assist was on the power play. The game extended her multi-point streak to seven games and she is averaging 3.04 points per game on the season.

Kayla Santl, Roseau. Santl recorded 14 points last week, leading the Rams to a three-win week in which they outscored their opponents 21-1. The senior forward recorded a hat trick in each of those games. At Moorhead on Jan. 21, the Rams won 8-0 as Santl added an assist to the hat trick. The Rams then won on back-to-back nights, first a 6-1 victory against Sartell/Sauk Rapids on Jan. 24 and then a 7-0 shutout at St. Cloud. Santl contributed three goals and two assists in each of those two games including three power play goals.

Whitney Tuttle, Rosemount. In a back and forth game that saw 13 total goals scored, Tuttle and the Irish came out victorious. Tuttle, a sophomore, tallied a season-high six points to lead the Irish’s offense in the win. Tuttle scored four goals, including three within the game’s first 13 minutes, and added two assists. She assisted on the game-winner with less than four minutes left in the third period. It was a 7-6 win against Prior Lake on Jan. 21.
