And the winner is...MN Girls' Hockey Hub Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from Jan. 25-30.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Hockey Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Leah Honer, Detroit Lakes. The senior goaltender turned away all 41 shots she faced on Jan. 28, recording her second consecutive shutout as the Lakers defeated East Grand Forks 1-0.

Top performer candidates

Kylie Baranzelli, Eveleth-Gilbert. The junior forward led the Golden Bears’ third consecutive win, registering a point on each of the team's goals in their 6-2 victory against International Falls on Jan. 28. Baranzelli scored four goals and added two assists. With the Golden Bears leading by one goal and less than than six minutes left in the third period, Baranzelli recorded three of her six points within a four-minute span to seal the victory.

Peyton Hemp, Andover. The senior forward accumulated 10 points during the Huskies’ two wins last week. In a 12-0 win at Robbinsdale Armstrong/Cooper on Jan. 26, Hemp scored twice and added four assists. Three nights later, Hemp contributed four points — one goal and three assists — as the Huskies defeated Maple Grove 7-0. Through five games, the Huskies have four shutouts and Hemp has recorded 19 points.

Leah Honer, Detroit Lakes. The senior goaltender turned away all 41 shots she faced on Jan. 28, recording her second consecutive shutout as the Lakers defeated East Grand Forks 1-0.

Kennedy Lemke, Prairie Centre. Despite a 4-1 loss to Detroit Lakes on Jan. 30, Lemke recorded a .946 save percentage, making 70 saves. Two of her goals against were scored while the Blue Devils were on penalty kills. Earlier in the week, during the Blue Devils’ 8-0 loss to Moorhead, the freshman goaltender made 52 saves, eclipsing the 1,000 career saves mark in her second high school season.

Ava Lindsay, Breck. The sophomore forward led the Mustangs’ 11-4 victory at Minnehaha United on Jan. 29. Lindsay, who leads the Mustangs with nine assists and 14 points through five games, recorded a hat trick plus four assists in the win.

Maddie Margraf, Chaska/Chanhassen. The freshman goaltender made 55 saves in the Stormhawks’ 4-1 victory at Minneapolis on Jan. 30. In her second game of the season, Margraf recorded a .982 save percentage and gave up the lone goal with 46 seconds left in the third period.
