Top games: Chisago Lakes aims to hand Mound Westonka rare loss

We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.




Other games to keep an eye on

New Ulm vs. Luverne, 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 26. State scoring leader Kamryn Van Batavia, a sophomore with 43 points, leads Luverne (8-2-0) in its showdown with fellow Big South Conference leader New Ulm (8-1-0) and standout goaltender Ava Brennan, an eighth-grader.

Eastview vs. Lakeville South, 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 26. This sequel in the season series might have a hard time living up to the original, as Avery Chesek scored 28 seconds into overtime to lift No. 10 Eastview (7-3-1) to a 1-0 triumph over No. 8-2A Lakeville South (7-2-1) on Feb. 16, but nonetheless it will be required viewing.
