And the winner is...MN Girls' Hockey Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Hockey Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Maddi O’Connor, New Ulm. The junior forward extended her points streak to six games, leading the Eagles (14-3-0) to wins against Waseca and Worthington with 11 points in two games. At Waseca on March 8, O’Connor recorded season highs with five goals and seven points in the 13-0 victory. Against Worthington on March 11, she scored twice, including once on a power play, and added two assists in the 9-0 triumph — the Eagles’ fourth consecutive shutout. 

Top performer candidates

Leah Bosch, Hopkins/St. Louis Park. The junior goaltender recorded her first shutout of the season in a 1-0 Royals victory against Delano/Rockford on March 12. Bosch recorded a season-high 52 saves to earn the shutout for the Royals (8-8-2).

Lily Fetch, East Ridge. Fetch tallied a season-high four points on March 9, leading the Raptors (12-6-0) to a 4-2 win at Park of Cottage Grove. The sophomore forward scored all four Raptors goals, with one coming shorthanded and three unassisted, to increase her team-leading season totals to 13 goals and 20 points in 18 games.

Taylor Kressin, Moorhead. The Spuds (10-7-1) leaned on their eighth-grade goaltender for a March 8 matchup against Brainerd/Little Falls, and Kressin delivered. She made 38 saves, including four in over seven minutes during the overtime period, to back the Spuds’ 2-1 win.

Jenna Lawry, Chisago Lakes. The senior forward has stood out as a Wildcat offensive threat throughout the season, recording points in all but one game and three or more points in 10 of 18 games. Last week, Lawry recorded points on eight of 11 Wildcat goals. At Northern Tier on March 11, Lawry scored four goals, including one shorthanded, to lead the 5-2 win. Two nights later, she tallied one goal and three assists, including one on a power play, as the Wildcats (16-2-0) defeated Pine City Area 6-1. Lawry is tied for seventh in the state in both goals (26) and points (48) this season on the fourth ranked team in the Class 1A coaches' poll from March 10.
