Rosemount outlasts Apple Valley in high-scoring thriller

Joey Edgar and the Rosemount offense were able to outlast Apple Valley in a 10-7 victory at home Thursday.

The Irish (8-1, 4-1) and senior Edgar scored the game-winning goal on a breakaway, snapping a 7-7 tie with 2:26 left in the third period. Apple Valley scored two third-period goals to even the game at 7-7 six minutes earlier.

Edgar scored four goals to lead the Irish offense, while her linemates Koral Hadac and Anna Shandorf each finished with four points. Whitney Tuttle scored two goals for Rosemount, the second being an empty-net goal.

Makayla Moran led Apple Valley (4-4, 3-1) with three goals scored. Marie Moran and Avery Ryan each had two-point nights.
