And the winner is...MN Girls' Hockey Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Hockey Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Gracia Munoz, Visitation. The freshman forward recorded back-to-back seven-point performances, leading the Blazers to victories against Waseca on Dec. 7 and Prairie Centre on Dec. 11. Munoz tallied three assists and a season-high four goals in the 9-3 victory at Waseca before recording a new season high of five goals and a pair of assists in the 8-0 shutout of Prairie Centre. Munoz has 15 goals and 28 points through eight games.

Top performer candidates

Lucie Bond, Minnehaha United. United rolled to their sixth consecutive win with a victory against Fairmont on Dec. 11 in their fourth game this season scoring nine goals or more. United were led by the senior forward, who leads the state with 23 goals and 38 points through 10 games, as Bond recorded six goals — including one shorthanded and one on a power play — as well as two assists in the 9-1 win. She scored the first three goals of the night to complete a hat trick within the game’s first 13 minutes.

Hannah Fritz, Cretin-Derham Hall. The senior goaltender faced 53 shots in the Raiders’ 1-1 overtime tie against Stillwater on Dec. 7, posting a .981 save percentage. Fritz faced 16 of those 53 shots in the overtime period and allowed the lone goal on a penalty kill.

Kennedy Lemke, Prairie Centre. The sophomore goaltender was kept busy in net on Dec. 9, facing over one shot per minute on average in the Blue Devils' 4-1 loss to Pine City Area. Lemke faced 77 shots — more than five times the amount the other goalie faced — and recorded a .948 save percentage.

Ayla Puppe, Northfield. The sophomore forward led the Raiders’ rout of Red Wing on Dec. 9, recording points on eight of the team’s 13 goals. Puppe recorded a first-period hat trick, starting the game’s scoring 36 seconds into the first period and completing her hat trick with just over a minute left in the first period. Puppe scored three more goals and added two assists in the game, including one on a power play, as the Raiders won 13-0.
