And the winner is...MN Girls' Hockey Hub Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the Top Performer from Jan. 23-28.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Hockey Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email scores@nbcuni.com


Top performer winner

Belle Deutz, Marshall. Deutz had a tall task when it came to facing Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato on Jan. 23. She handled it quite well, finishing the game with 41 saves on 42 shots.

Top performer candidates

Sarah Peterson, Breck. Peterson had a busy week in net for the Mustangs. On Jan. 23, she faced 43 shots against Apple Valley and stopped 39. Five days later, she picked up a 26-save shutout as Breck went on to defeat Luverne, 3-0.

Ellisyn Van Batavia, Luverne. Speaking of Luverne, the Cardinals had a star of their own in Van Batavia. On Jan. 24, she was quite the giver as she dished out six assists in her team's victory over Worthington.

Ayla Puppe, Northfield. Puppe had not one, not two, but three standout performances this week for the Raiders. It started on Jan. 24 when she had a goal and two assists against Mankato East. Two days later, she tallied a pair of goals and two assists against Albert Lea. Puppe finished the week with her strongest performance, netting five goals against Rochester Mayo.

Brooke Nelson, Stillwater. Nelson and the Ponies got the task of opening up the slate of outdoor games in White Bear Lake on Hockey Day Minnesota. She got things started in a big way, scoring four times for Stillwater, including the Ponies' first three goals for a natural hat trick.
