Caitie Turcotte’s first career goal was enough for Red Wing to leave Northfield with a victory and the final Missota Conference championship. But her teammates couldn’t help piling on as the Wingers toppled the Raiders 4-0 Thursday night.

Turcotte scored unassisted 1 minute, 24 seconds into the game, followed by a Nicole Schammel goal at 5:38. Turcotte got an assist on Schammel’s goal, as did Hailee Johnson. Katelyn Hadler then scored at 12:35 on assists from Maddy Hardyman and Kayla Oberding.

Hadler scored a second goal at 3:56 of the second, this one helped by Taylor Heise and Carley Marty.

Ashley Corcoran faced just seven shots, including one in the first period, to get the shutout victory. The Wingers put 32 shots on net with Mallory Tidona making 28 saves.

Red Wing (18-6, 9-1 Missota) will close the regular season Monday when Tartan visits Prairie Island Arena.
