Royals Lose Opener to Sabres 4-0
A young Rogers Royals hockey team lost its opener to Sartell-St. Stephen 4-0 at home Tuesday evening.
Markia Smith drilled the first two goals, and Olivia Stockinger and Sarah Kaschmitter also scored, for the Sabres, who had a 22-14 edge in shots on goal.
Clare Minnerath was in goal for the Sabres, and Emily Bjorgan for the Royals.
Rogers will host Princeton next Tuesday.
