The Rogers girls finally snagged their first win, after coming close several times.

Paetyn Levis drilled three goals as Rogers (1-4-3) prevailed 3-2 in overtime against St. Francis/North Branch on Tuesday evening in East Bethel.

Levis, freshman forward, delivered the game-winner 1:55 into overtime, assisted by Courtney Johnson and Kendra Bolster.

The game was 0-0 after two periods. Levis, who has eight goals in eight games, scored two unassisted goals in the third period. Afton Douvill and Holly Anderson connected for SF/NB (3-7-1).

Shots were almost even, 37-35 in Rogers favor. Royal goalie Ellie Anderson stopped 33 shots.

It was also the first win for new head coach Joel Wesloh, former Elk River assistant in both boys and girls hockey.

Along with three ties, Rogers also had a 1-0 overtime loss (against Bemidji).

Rogers will host Orono on Friday.
