Star Tribune all-metro SECOND TEAM


Forwards

Gabbie Hughes, Centennial, sophomore: Her 46 goals are tied for second-most in the state. Pure sniper.

Taylor Wente, Maple Grove, junior: Scored a hat trick in the Class 2A, Section 5 championship game victory. Posted 27 goals and 27 assists. Committed to Minnesota.

Grace Zumwinkle, Breck, junior: Blistering shot draws raves and produced 36 goals. Headed for Minnesota.

Defense

Katie McMillan, Minnetonka, senior: Penn State-bound defender also dynamic on the offensive end. Scored 14 goals and added 30 assists.

Kenzie Prater, Hill-Murray, senior: Scrappy and tough shutdown defender. Two-time team captain. Committed to Quinnipiac.

Goalie

Coco Francis, Maple Grove, junior: Helped the Crimson reach its first Class 2A state tournament. Stopped 94 percent of shots faced.
