Fergus Falls roars past Detroit Lakes

Otters score five unanswered goals to rally from early deficit

Aimee Magnusson scored twice and May Swiontek had three assists for Fergus Falls as the Otters used five consecutive goals to beat Detroit Lakes 5-3 on Saturday, Nov. 13.

The Otters fell behind 1-0 early in the first period before they went on their scoring binge.

Fergus Falls won despite being outshot 29-19.

"Both teams played well, and even when we were up a few goals the game felt very close," Fergus Falls coach Matt Koalska said.

Brianna Seebold scored twice for Detroit Lakes.

Otters freshman Lauren Norgren scored the first goal of her varsity career with 6:35 remaining in the second period.

Fergus Falls plays Moorhead on Nov. 16 while Detroit Lakes travels to Alexandria on Nov. 18.
