Player of the Week candidates for Dec. 5-9

Sarah Olsen, Mankato West G, eight grade: Olsen finished with 40 saves for Mankato West in a 9-1 loss to Northfield. Olsen leads the state with 312 saves.

Katie Montrose, Rochester John Marshall D, junior: Montrose finished with two goals and four assists for Rochester John Marshall in a 8-0 win over Albert Lea.

Kailee Medved, Totino-Grace G, senior: Medved tallied 56 saves in a 11-0 loss to No. 4-2A Blaine.

CC Bowlby, Edina F, sophomore: In a showdown between No. 1-2A Edina and No. 2-1A Breck, Bowlby had an impressive performance with one goal and three assists in a 5-4 victory. Edina looks to remain undefeated this week against No. 12-2A Minnetonka.

Emilee Anderson, Chaska/Chanhassen F, senior: Anderson recorded two goals and one assist for No. 13-2A Chaska/Chanhassen in a 5-3 victory over No. 12-2A Minnetonka.

Taylor Heise, Red Wing F, junior: Heise played a major role for No. 15-1A Red Wing in the 7-1 win over Faribault, scoring five goals and one assist. Heise is tied for fourth in the state with 17 goals.

Margo Achterkirch, Owatonna F, junior: Achterkirch scored three goals and two assists in a10-1 victory over Winona. She currently leads Owatonna with eight goals.

Anna Klein, Cretin-Derham Hall F, junior: Klein registered two goals and one assist for No. 9-2A Cretin-Derham Hall in a 4-2 win over No. 8-2A Lakeville South. The Raiders try to extend their winning streak this week against Park of Cottage Grove.

Kennedy Halverson, Proctor/Hermantown D, junior: Halverson led No. 7-1A Proctor/Hermantown to a 8-1 win over Duluth with two goals and three assists.

Naomi Rogge, Eden Prairie F, senior: Rogge recorded two goals for No. 3-2A Eden Prairie in a 2-0 win over No. 6-2A Elk River. Rogge leads the Eagles in both goals (9) and assists (10).
