New Prague limps into Tuesday's critical matchup with Wright County Conference and Class 1A, Section 2 rival Delano/Rockford having gone winless in its last four games (0-2-2).

The immediate future looks tough for the Trojans (7-6-3, 4-0) as well, who will be without star forward Catie Skaja. The Minnesota commit is playing with Team USA at the International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Women's World Championships in the Czech Republic for another week.

It's been quite a healthy start for Delano/Rockford, considering the team did not exist in its current form a season ago.

With Buffalo splitting from the former three-team co-operative to form a separate team with Maple Lake this season, the girls from Delano and Rockford have proven to be just fine. The Tigers streaked to a 13-3 overall record, including a stretch of eight consecutive wins to begin the season, but are 2-2 in league play.

A good portion of Delano/Rockford's success can be attributed to senior Rylan Bistodeau (14 goals, 13 assists, 27 points) and sophomores Emily Olson (10-14-24) and Anna Keranen (12-12-24).

The trio should be key as the upstart Tigers look for a signature win this season, one that could also hand the Trojans, ranked No. 8 in the latest Class 1A state coaches' poll, their first league loss, making their showdown our pick for the Top Game of the Week.
