Player of the Week candidates for Jan. 9-14

This week's winner

Hannah Rupp, Irondale. The senior goaltender backed Irondale to a 2-0 win over Totino-Grace, stopping all 31 shots she faced.

The other candidates

Kiana Bender, Cloquet-Esko-Carlton. The freshman forward recorded a hat trick in 4-3 win over No. 13-2A Forest Lake. She leads the Lumberjacks in goals (14) and points (22).

Courtney Bloemke, Mankato West. The junior forward had three goals and one assist in 5-4 win over St. Peter. She scored the game-winner with just over two minutes left to play in the third period and leads the team in goals (20), assists (15), and points (35) on the season.

Lucy Burton, Blake. Burton tallied two goals and two assists in No. 1-1A Blake’s 4-2 win over No. 2-1A Breck. The senior forward leads the Bears with 15 goals.

Gabby Olson, Prairie Centre. Olson recorded three goals – including the game-winner in overtime – and one assist in a 6-5 win over Detroit lakes. The junior forward leads the Blue Devils with 15 assists and 26 points.

Emma Polusny, Mound Westonka. The No. 16-1A White Hawks senior goaltender recorded 44 saves in 3-0 win over No. 8-1A New Prague. Polusny is ranked ninth in state with a .947 save percentage.

Reagan Roelofs, Apple Valley. The junior forward scored each of the first three goals for Apple Valley in a 4-2 win over Simley.

Hallie Sheridan, Fergus Falls. The sophomore defender had a hand in all of Fergus Falls's scoring in a 4-3 victory over Moorhead, notching one goal and three assists.

Amber Tilander, International Falls. Tilander recorded three goals and one assist in a 5-2 win over Bemidji. The junior forward is tied for fourth in the state in goals (33) and is tied for third in points (50).

Kristin Trosvig, Alexandria. Trosvig led No. 11-1A Alexandria to a 4-3 win over Prairie Centre, tallying two goals and two assists. The junior forward leads the Cardinals in goals (11), assists (9) and points (20).
