Class 2A
Edina remained No. 1 in the Class 2A coach's poll receiving 10 first place votes after back-to-back wins over top-twenty ranked Lake Conference opponents.
The Hornets (20-0-1) bested No. 4 Eden Prairie and No. 16 Wayzata by a combined score of 8-1. They face Class 1A-No. 1 Blake, Class 2A-No. 15 Hopkins/Park and No. 6 Elk River/Zimmerman in three of their four remaining games.
The remaining Class 2A top five remained unchanged, with the exception of Blaine (17-3) overtaking Elk River/Zimmerman (16-5) for the No. 5 slot. Two goals from Bemidji State University recruit Paige Bebee pushed the Bengals passed the Elks, 3-1, and into the top five.
Lakeville South (16-5) remains ninth in the Class 2A coach's poll despite having as many wins as No. 6 Elk River/Zimmerman and No. 3 Maple Grove. The Cougars are 5-0 in January, but haven't faced a top-twenty ranked opponent since losing to No. 19 Grand Rapids/Greenway on Dec. 28.
Despite having the state's leader in assists (Anneke Linser with 35) and the state's second-leading scorer (Gabbie Hughes with 60), Centennial is 1-3 in its last four games. The Coyotes (12-9-0) clung to the No. 8 spot despite back-to-back losses to Eden Prairie and Elk River/Zimmerman.
Minnetonka (11-8-3) remained in the top ten despite a 2-0 loss to unranked Stillwater in an outdoor game on Hockey Day Minnesota. The Skippers are 2-3 in their last five games and face No. 4 Eden Prairie, No. 9 Lakeville South and No. 5 Blaine in their final three games.
No. 14 Brainerd/Little Falls (20-2) has as many wins as top-ranked Edina, but have faced just four opponents ranked in the Class 2A top twenty. Senior Allyson Smith leads the Warriors in scoring with 25 goals and 19 assists.
Aside from Brainerd/Little Falls gaining the No. 14 spot from Hopkins/Park, the bottom half of the top twenty went unchanged.

Class 1A
The Class 1A top five went unchanged with No. 1 Blake (18-2-1) receiving 10 first place votes in the coach's poll.
The Bears are halfway through a grueling stretch against top-ten opponents from Class 1A and Class 2A. They beat Class 1A-No. 3 St. Paul United and Class 2A- No. 5 Blaine by a combined score of 7-2. In their next two games they face Class 2A-No. 8 Centennial and Class 2A-No. 1 Edina.
Thief River Falls (13-7) continued to climb toward the top five despite suffering a 3-2 loss to No. 5 Warroad. Prowlers goalie Gabby Steele made 21 saves in the game.
East Grand Forks jumped from No. 12 to No. 9 in the Class 1A coach's poll after a convincing 5-1 road victory over Bemidji. The Green Wave (11-5-3) is 4-1-2 in its last seven games. Junior goalie McKenzie Whalen has a .946 save percentage and five shutouts.
At 9-9-3, New Prague is the only top-twenty team that has yet to reach 10 wins and dropped from No. 11 to No. 12 following a 5-2 loss to Orono and a 2-0 win over Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato.
