White Bear Lake falls to Stillwater

STILLWATER 3, WHITE BEAR LAKE 2: Sarah Bruchu and Sara Bustad scored 51 seconds apart early in the third period, lifting the Class 2A, No. 9 Ponies over the No. 4 Bears. Samantha Hanson had a goal and an assist for White Bear Lake.

ANDOVER 1, CENTENNIAL 0: Junior Madison Denny was stellar between the pipes for the Huskies. Denny stopped all 35 shots she faced, shutting out the Cougars in the Northwest Suburban. Mikayla Gooding provided the only offense she needed with a second-period goal.

ANOKA 3, ELK RIVER 2: Emilie Brigham and Sarah Wells scored 78 seconds apart in the third period, rallying the Tornadoes past the Elks in the Northwest Suburban. Wells’ game-winning goal came on the power play. Brigham also scored Anoka’s first goal.

APPLE VALLEY 5, LAKEVILLE NORTH 3: Eagles freshman Erica Power celebrated her 15th birthday in exciting fashion, scoring two goals and adding an assist in a victory over the Panthers in South Suburban. Her second goal turned out to be the game winner, her third this season.

COON RAPIDS 8, ARMSTRONG 1: Senior forward Rachael Bona had four goals, leading the Class 2A, No. 8 Cardinals past the Falcons in the Northwest Suburban. Coon Rapids scored five times in the second period.

EAST RIDGE 2, PARK OF COTTAGE GROVE 2 (OT): Erica Michaud scored her second goal of the night on the power play with 5 minutes, 41 seconds remaining, giving the Raptors an overtime tie with the Wolfpack in the Suburban East.

HASTINGS 6, WOODBURY 0: Courtney Boucher had a hat trick and one assist as the Raiders shut out the Royals in the Suburban East. Hastings scored three power-play goals, two in its four-goal second period.

LAKEVILLE SOUTH 4, EASTVIEW 2: Morgan Fritz-Ward figured in all four goals, scoring one and assisting on three, as the Cougars widened their first-place lead in the South Suburban with a victory over the Lightning. Lakeville South took a 2-0 first-period lead with two power-play goals.

ROSEMOUNT 4, EAGAN 3: Senior forward Rachael Kelly scored her second goal with 1 minute, 59 seconds remaining, lifting the Irish over the Wildcats in the South Suburban. Kelly set up Taylor Sampson’s tying goal a little more than 5 minutes earlier.

SHAKOPEE 2, NEW PRAGUE 1 (OT): Lauren Hespenheide scored 2 minutes, 41 seconds into overtime, lifting the Sabres over the Trojans in the Missota.
