• MINNETONKA 5, BLAKE 2: The Class 1A, No. 2-ranked Bears fell to the Skippers for the second time this season. Five different skaters found the net for Minnetonka, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A. Sophomore Maggie Bazany opened the scoring with her first varsity goal, and senior Paige Baldwin assisted on three goals. Senior Hillary Crowe led the Bears with a goal and assist. Minnetonka defeated Blake 2-1 in overtime on Dec. 10.

• BENILDE-ST. MARGARET’S 5, IRONDALE 1: The Red Knights, ranked No. 3 in Class 2A, outshot the visitors 38-18 while cruising to the victory. Senior Jordyn Burns scored twice, pushing her season total to 14. Caitlin Reilly and Aly Hoffman each tallied a pair of assists.

• COON RAPIDS 4, CENTENNIAL 3: Senior forward Rachael Bona’s two goals and two assists led the Cardinals past the Cougars in the Northwest Suburban. Bona scored both of her goals in the first period as Coon Rapids took a three-goal lead. She also assisted on the eventual game-winner by freshman Amy Schlagel early in the third period.
