And the winner is...MN Girls' Hockey Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Hockey Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Celena Rea, Bloomington Jefferson. The senior forward led the Jaguars' offense in a 5-2 win over Holy Angels on Jan. 8. She tallied a first-period assist before scoring four times in the third period, including one goal on the power play and another shorthanded

Top performer candidates

Sophie Cronk, Stillwater. The sophomore goaltender was nearly perfect in the Ponies' Jan. 10 contest at Roseville — allowing just one goal on 39 shots in a 2-1 win. 

Abby Johnson, Anoka. The senior goaltender was kept busy in net in just her seventh game of the season on Jan. 12. She came up big, making 43 saves — more than half of those in the third period — in a 1-0 win over Centennial. 

Jayonte Kotila, Cambridge-Isanti/Mora/Pine City. The senior goaltender was perfect when her team needed it, as she led a 1-0 win over No. 8-1A Cloquet-Esko-Carlton on Jan. 12 by making 38 saves and recording her first shutout of the season. 

Kylie Lund, Rochester Century. Lund recorded her fourth four-point effort in the past seven games in a 4-3 victory over Red Wing on Jan. 8. The senior forward scored all of the Panthers' goals, including the overtime game-winner.

Sophie Rausch, Fergus Falls. Rausch led the Otters in a 5-4 victory over Sartell/Sauk Rapids on Jan. 8, as she scored a season-high four consecutive goals, including one shorthanded, and added an assist. The senior forward is ranked fifth in the state in goals (30), tied for eighth in assists (23) and tied for third in points (53). 

Celena Rea, Bloomington Jefferson. The senior forward led the Jaguars' offense in a 5-2 win over Holy Angels on Jan. 8. She tallied a first-period assist before scoring four times in the third period, including one goal on the power play and another shorthanded.

Ella Reynolds, South St. Paul. On Jan. 8, with the Packers trailing North St. Paul/Tartan 2-0 entering the third period, the sophomore forward exploded for five third-period points (three goals, two power-play assists) to lead the 5-3 come-from-behind victory. 

Samantha Scherling, Rogers. In a 3-2 win over Buffalo on Jan. 8, the senior forward scored a shorthanded goal in each of the first two periods before assisting on the eventual game-winner early in the third.

Victoria Thorson, Duluth Marshall. With the Hilltoppers trailing by two goals to Hibbing/Chisholm on Jan. 8, the junior forward scored three unanswered goals, including two on the power play, to secure a 3-2 win. It was Thorson's first hat trick of the season.

Kamryn Van Batavia, Luverne. The eighth-grade forward scored a season-high four goals — two consecutive to start the game and two consecutive in the third period — in a 6-4 win over Fairmont on Jan. 8.
