And the winner is...MN Girls' Hockey Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Hockey Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Shelby Breiland, Thief River Falls. The sophomore forward scored all three goals for the Prowlers' in a 3-1 win over St. Cloud on Jan. 25. Breiland got the game's scoring started on the power play late in the second period. With the game tied late in the third, Breiland recorded her second goal and completed her hat trick less than three minutes later.

Top performer candidates

Kate Boland, Northfield. The senior defender led the Raiders' 11-0 win over Rochester Mayo on Jan. 24, recording season highs in both goals (4) and points (8). After tallying an assist in each of the first two periods, Boland started the third period with three consecutive goals, then finished the period with one more goal and two more assists.

Shelby Breiland, Thief River Falls. The sophomore forward scored all three goals for the Prowlers' in a 3-1 win over St. Cloud on Jan. 25. Breiland got the game's scoring started on the power play late in the second period. With the game tied late in the third, Breiland recorded her second goal and completed her hat trick less than three minutes later.

Hannah Corneliusen, Warroad. The state's leader in points (68) and second in goals (39), Corneliusen added four goals and four assists in a 16-0 win over Crookston on Jan. 21. The junior forward has led the Warriors' undefeated season by averaging nearly three points per game.

Audrey Jackson, Mounds View. The sophomore forward, leading her team in both goals (18) and points (22) this season, scored a season-high four goals in a 4-1 win over North St. Paul/Tartan on Jan. 22. Jackson responded to the opponent's lone goal by scoring less than a minute later, then scoring three more unanswered.

Megan Jung, Elk River/Zimmerman. The senior goaltender backed the Elks' third consecutive overtime game to a 3-2 win over Cambridge-Isanti/Mora/Pine City on Jan. 22. Jung posted a .947 save percentage and made 36 saves. 

Ava Kistner, Moorhead. Kistner's first multi-goal game of the year was a big one, as the sophomore forward tallied a goal and an assist in each period to lead the Spuds' 6-1 win over Detroit Lakes on Jan. 24. 

Sunshine Langworthy, Mankato West. The junior led the Scarlets' 6-4 win over Waseca on Jan. 22 by recording a hat trick and adding two assists. Two days later, in a 5-0 win at Red Wing, she scored another three goals.

Maddie Schneider, Albert Lea. The sophomore goaltender had one of her busiest games of the season — making 47 saves in a 5-2 win over Rochester Century on Jan. 26. After giving up the first two goals of the game, Schneider backed the Tigers' come-from-behind win by playing a perfect final 33 minutes.

Kaelie Smith, Cretin-Derham Hall. After a 2-1 Raiders loss to East Ridge earlier in the season, the senior goalie was nearly perfect in the teams' rematch on Jan. 22. She posted a .974 save percentage and made 38 saves in the 3-1 victory. 

Emily Wisnewski, Wayzata. The senior defender was a playmaker in the Trojans' 7-2 win over Benilde-St. Margaret's on Jan. 24. Wisnewski tallied a season-high five assists, including one on the power play.
